Hello, this page will host my current 'work in progress'. I will post images of the drawing as it progresses along with the date and size and perhaps a few comments. This will be a sort of 'blog' I suppose, if you would like to comment please feel free to do so by signing the guestbook. If there is a lot  of interest, I may put the comments on this page, or both.

I started the drawing on January 7th, and will not state what is in the drawing for added interest. It may take quite a while so please check back every once in a while.

First stage....late January 7, 2008. This is pencil on Beinfang smooth bristol paper. Image size is 5.2"x2.8".

Second Stage....January 9th. Drawing size is now  6.9"x2.9". In the next stage I will basically have this area finished except for the values and perhaps a little detail.
Third stage....January 10th. Drawing size is now 8.5"x6.1". Up to now has been the quick part of the drawing. Now comes the fun...also the most tedious and time consuming part of the drawing.

Fourth stage....January 13th. Drawing size is still 8.5"x6.1".  I think I have about 31-34 hours on this now. I still need to go over it later and "Fine Tune"  it, adjusting values and whatever.
Fifth stage....January 14th. Drawing size is 8.5"x10".
Sixth stage....January 16th. Another collectable added to the drawing.
Seventh stage....January 17th. An enlargement and progress of the 1929 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. The actual size of the half dollar in the drawing is 2.95" in diameter.
Eight stage....January 19th.  Slowly progressing.
Ninth stage....January 21st. The half dollar is finished for now. One more coin to put in and a final 'tweeking', and this drawing will be finished.
Tenth stage....January 30th. I have about all of the 'tweeking' done and the reverse of the Standing Liberty Quarter is started.
Final Stage....February 18th. After a few unexpected delays lasting a few weeks...I have finished this and  am quite pleased. The scan of course can not pick up the delicate blending  on the top card but that is to be expected.

The following enlargements are larger than the actual drawing.
I hope you have enjoyed following this WIP.
